Research of Exisiting Products (kerrang Issue 1338) Double page spread
Colour Scheme: The colour scheme of this DPS is fairly light and welcoming just as seen previously on the other kerrang contents I annalysed. I personally think the colour scheme is very welcoming and conveys a sense of business and a full content within the magazine.
Photography: I like the way there are images of the pages within the magazine on the contents page, I think this very direct to the audience and indicates to them perfectly what is inside rather them flicking through the magazine. The images on the contents are all of a posed standard which could possible indicate seriouness or the Slash has a smile on his face could defuse us the other way.
Writing Style: In terms of the writing style of the contents page it's once again very basic and informs us as the audience of the crucial information the audience need to know about the content of the whole magazine.
Overall Look: I really like the overall look of the contents I believe it connects with the audience really well and has due to the images and colour scheme it betrays a welcoming to the audience or the possible readers/buyers.
Text/picture ratio: Seeing as it is a contents page as expected there is more text in comparison to images.
Publisher: Beaur Music are responsible for publishing Kerrang as equally responsible for publishing Mojo,Empire and Q along many other magazine's in various media categorys. There strategy is to connect with audiences with excellent content through their broad multi-touch point brand platforms, wherever and whenever and however thay want. They have a huge advantage over pure play magazine or radio competitors due to the wide portfolio or influential brands. So in terms of a certain target audience, there is none they range in terms of the magazine or radio show they are trying to sell
