Front Cover
Colour scheme: In terms of the colour scheme the editor for Rocksound has chosen once again in comparison to the Kerrang magazine basic bold colours in which symbolise mostly positive emotions in which will reflect towards the target audience, attracting them to buying or reading the magazine. The editor has clearly used these percific colours on the front cover to ironically link the target audience to the magazine it's self .

Photography: Their is a milder amount of images on the front compared to the excessive amount of images on the front of Kerrang. The images on Rocksound are of a much smaller ratio and are more compact driving towards a much buiser atmosphere within the magazine it'self. The main image on the magazine of 'The dammed Things' is once again posed which adds a sense of edge and seriousness to the magazine. The images on the bottom right consist of a range of various styles which indicates the magazine is full of not only the more serious articles but articles in which could relate to the target audience. For example the live images ironically again link to the audience and the energy and liveness the target audience are ironically known for. The style of the photographs are in relation to the topic of the articles within the magazine meaning they symbolise the mood or seriousness of what is to be expected within the magazine.
Fonts: The text on the front of Rocksound is as before like Kerrang in CAPITALS which captures the audience attention and almost indicates the loudness of the magazine due to the volume of the text. As you can see from the image on the top, the magazine name runs behind the image noticeablycreating a sense of loudness and buisness ,most of the writing looks as if it has been printed rather than hand written like in the Kerrang which shows us as the audience the relaxed atmosphere which is achieved throughout the Kerrang magazine. Where as the printed writing shows the audience more of a serious side which indicates maybe the content on the magazine.
Writing Style: The writing style on the front cover of Rocksound is very blunt and doesn't encorpret alot of detail, only enough to indicate to the audience what will be featuring in the magazine. The amount of writing in comparison to Kerrang holds more writing, but still text which is ideal for the the target audience.
Overall Look: The overall look of the magazine is very simple and there isn't alot going on visually which indicates the business of the industry and draws the target audience in. The way in which the magazine is presented is intresting as it doesn't have a straight on basic layout. There is alot of over lapping and illustrations increase the visual status of the magazine, increasing the likely hood of selling.
Text/picture ratio: On the front cover alone there is more writing than images. I believe this is because the front cover being a huge selling point, offers the chance to advertise special offers to persuade the target audience to buy the magazine, they do this by highlighting key features which will be the magazine and use quotes so the audience becomes interested to what there favourite bands have to say, fans then can relate and become more interested gathering a sense of envolvenment and can relate to the bands.
Publisher: Sonic Media are responsible for publishing Rocksound as equally responsible for publishing Mojo,Empire and Q along many other magazine's in various media categorys. There strategy is to connect with audiences with excellent content through their broad multi-touch point brand platforms, wherever and whenever and however thay want. They have a huge advantage over pure play magazine or radio competitors due to the wide portfolio or influential brands. So in terms of a certain target audience, there is none they range in terms of the magazine or radio show they are trying to sell
